Botox and Facial Aesthetics

A lot of our patients are interested in improving their appearance over and above their dental care and many ask about facelifts and Botox.

It is important to understand what can be done for you and what cannot.

That is why we start off with an individual consultation to explain your options and the range of facial treatments.

Every patient is assessed individually and together we agree a custom treatment plan.

Botox Treatments

We offer Botulinum toxin otherwise know as Botox in our Larbert surgery. This is predominantly to treat any wrinkles which affecting your forehead and your frown as well as lines next to your eyes, crow’s feet and any lines from your lips to your chin, so-called marionette lines.

Botox for facial pain

Some patients suffer from problems with their temporomandibular joint function resulting in jaw pain or pain in the side of the head. Botulinum toxin has been shown to diminish some of those symptoms and relieve tension headaches.

Reduce the visible signs of ageing

We also use Botox under the jawline to help reduce the signs of ageing and the wrinkles seen around the neck.

We also use it to help people who suffer from a condition called hyperhidrosis also known as excessive sweating. A number of injections can be administered in your armpit to help with sweating.

Dermal Fillers

We also provide dermal fillers. Fillers are injectable materials which plump up tissue to remove lines and wrinkles. Fillers can be used to augment your lips, also labial nasal folds on your face and deeper creases on your forehead. We use fillers to do cheek lifts.

Does it hurt to have Botox injections?

The needles we use are very small and the procedure is seldom particularly painful.

However to lessen any discomfort during treatment we can numb the area with a topical anaesthetic cream before we proceed with the injections.
